Greetings in Amharic are questions in general about the well-being of people and can be specified in time, wether it’s morning, afternoon or evening.
Words and phrases change form depending on wether a male (m), female (f), elder person or authority figure (pol) or group (pl) is being addressed. Polite form is mostly used when conversing with elders and in formal situations. Polite and plural forms both include male and female.
